Session information
First, we must assess whether CBT is right for you and that you are comfortable with the treatment going forward. In our first session we will complete an assessment to understand what you want to achieve.
Following this we will discuss and agree together the number of sessions that are needed, which is very much dependant on the course of treatment. Usually CBT sessions can be anything from 8 weeks to 6 months, however in some case this can be longer. We can agree this at the start of the therapy and then review over time, to ensure that the therapy is beneficial to yourself. CBT sessions can be either weekly or fortnightly and your sessions will reduce over the course of the time, following your therapy progress.
